In some cases, you may be asked by our support team to look up a 'message ID' of a message. Below you can read how to look up this message ID.
-
Copy a piece of text from a message whose 'message ID' you want to look up. Then navigate to 'quick search' and paste this piece of text between 2 double quotes in the search bar. Then press enter. Example: "I want 5 likes."
- When searching, pay attention to the date range in which you are searching. By default, the search goes back a month, but it may be that the message you are searching for is older. You can change the range in witch you are searching.
If the message is found, you will see the message in the search results. You will also see the platform on which the message was posted. Make sure you select the right message. It may happen that you want to search for an Instagram post, but the system also shows Facebook posts because they happen to use the same words in the message. - When you are sure that you have found the right message, press 'open in webcare' on the right side of the message.
When you press 'open in webcare' the screen will reload and you will only see the message you opened in webcare. Now you can also see the 'Message ID'. This is in the URL of the web browser. The url will look like this: https://horizon.obi4wan.com/webcare2/segment/chtestomgeving/message/i-17975453111360607%2F
The message ID starts after the last / and ends before the %2F. In the example above, the 'message ID' is: i-17975453111360607
You have now found the correct Message ID and can return it to our support department.
