With the integration between Spotler Message and Engage, it is possible to receive SMS alerts based on configured search query-mail alerts in Spotler Engage.
This allows you to receive real-time notifications from mail to SMS, whenever a search query produces a match.
How does it work?
Within Spotler Engage, it is normally only possible to subscribe to email alerts when a configured search query results in a match.
By using a mail-to-SMS setup, these email notifications are automatically converted into SMS messages.
The process works as follows:
- An email alert is configured in Engage for a specific search query.
- The email notification is sent to a unique email address.
- The email address is connected to an email-to-webhook Zap within Zapier.
- The webhook forwards the notification to the SMS gateway of Spotler Message.
- Spotler Message sends the alert as an SMS to the configured recipient(s).
What are the requirements?
For this integration, the following components are required:
- A simple email-to-webhook Zap within Zapier
- A dedicated Zap per customer with a unique email address
- A dedicated SMS account within Spotler Message
The unique email address is configured in Spotler Engage as the notification address for search query alerts.
How do I configure SMS alert recipients?
The recipients of SMS alerts are managed within the SMS Portal of Spotler Message.
You can:
- Configure a single phone number
- Configure multiple phone numbers
- Adjust recipients without making changes in Engage or Zapier
This provides full flexibility in determining who receives alerts.
What is the result?
After the configuration is completed, search query alerts generated in Spotler Engage are automatically delivered as SMS notifications through Spotler Message.
This ensures that important matches are communicated immediately to the right recipients without requiring them to actively monitor email notifications.
