How do you enable notifications?
You enable notifications per conversation stream in the Webcare module.

- Open the stream where you want to receive notifications.
- Click the settings icon (gear icon) in the top-right corner of the stream.

If you do not allow browser notifications, Spotler Engage cannot display notifications until permission is enabled manually in your browser settings.
What notification settings are available?
You can configure three notification settings per stream. These settings determine when notifications are shown and whether a sound is played.
| Setting | Enabled | Disabled |
|---|---|---|
| Play sound | A sound is played and a notification is shown when a new message arrives. | No sound is played, but a notification is still shown. |
| Notify me only for posts by new authors | Notifications are triggered only for messages from new authors in open conversations. | Notifications are triggered for messages from both new and existing authors. |
| Notify me only if the Spotler Engage tab is not active | Notifications are triggered only when the Spotler Engage tab is not active in your browser. | Notifications are triggered whether the tab is active or not. |
