How do I apply Targeting to my post?

In this help article, we'll guide you on how to use Targeting in the Publishing module. Targeting is only available for Facebook and LinkedIn accounts. It operates on the group of people who follow you or engage with your post organically. These followers must meet your subselection criteria since it is not a paid functionality.

Note! The resulting followers' group must meet a minimum count. Otherwise, you will encounter an error when posting your content.

Step 1: Select a Facebook and/or LinkedIn account to add Targeting for this post.

Step 2: Create your content and click on 'Targeting'.

Step 3: You have a Facebook and LinkedIn tab. We'll start with the Facebook tab. In 'News Feed Audience,' more targeting options are available, while 'Restricted Audience' has minimal options.

For the News Feed Audience, you can set targeting based on Age, Gender, Location, Graduation Year, Education Level, Interests, and Relationship Status.

Age is numeric, while other values like gender and education level appear in a dropdown. For dropdown options, we've made a selection of what you see.

For the Restricted Audience, you can only set a Minimum age and target based on Location.

Note! The resulting followers' group must meet a minimum count. Otherwise, you will encounter an error when posting your content.

Step 4: Move on to the LinkedIn tab.

Here, you can determine Industry, Language, Job Function, Location, Seniority Level, and Company Size.

Error: Error publishing post / Something went wrong

If you receive the error message 'Error publishing post,' or 'Something went wrong' your targeting is not properly set. The resulting followers' group must meet a minimum count. Otherwise, you will encounter an error when posting your content.
