In Engage, you can send a post to Apostle for advocacy directly from the Publish module by using the Advocacy button. Apostle is a third party tool that lets other Apostle users share your posts on their own social media pages, and the integration lets you send content that is drafted, planned, or already sent.
There are two ways to send a post to Apostle from the Publish module: create a new advocacy post from scratch, or use an existing post from the content calendar as the base.
Before you start
The Advocacy button only works if the Apostle integration has been configured for your account and if the email address of your Engage account matches the email address of your Apostle account. Share a new post with Apostle
Use the Advocacy button in the sidebar of the Publish module to create a new advocacy post from scratch. You can then send this post out immediately or schedule it for advocacy.
Send an existing post to Apostle
Use the Advocacy button on a post in the content calendar to send that post to Apostle. This button is available on drafted, scheduled, and published posts, and uses the selected post as the base for the advocacy post. If the original post was selected for multiple social media accounts in Engage, Apostle creates a separate variant of the advocacy post for each account.
Do posts created directly in Apostle appear in the Engage content calendar?
No. A post that is created only in Apostle is not shared back to Engage, so it does not appear in the content calendar. It stays in Apostle.
