How do you set a time period when creating reports?

Step 1: Click on the 'Reports' module at the top. As soon as you click on this, a dropdown menu will open. Choose the option 'show all reports' (in orange) at the bottom right and select the desired report you want to work on. 
Step 2:  Setting the period - filter range: There are two options to change the time selection of the report. Both options can be found at the top right of Spotler Engage. The first is using range filtering.

 

At the top of the report you will see a blue bar in which you see the time selection of the report on the right (see photo above). When you create a new report, a period of one month is automatically selected. If you adjust the period, and thereby apply a filter to a report, Spotler Engage will retrieve the data again and update all graphs present in the report to the time period you want.

You click on the date and select a different period in the drop down. For example, if you select the last 7 days, the report will always show the data for the last 7 days, regardless of when you open the report. To select a fixed period yourself, choose the bottom option 'Set yourself' and select a start and end date. Then click on 'edit'. Spotler Engage now retrieves the data from the data you selected.

You can select a maximum of one year in a report.

 

The second way to adjust the time selection of a report is by using the data range. To the right of the range filter is a square button with the image of a graph. If you click on this, a slider will appear in which you can see the volume of the messages over a few months. This way you can immediately see in which period the most messages were posted. You can move the slider to adjust the time selection of the report (see photo below).

Both methods described above come down to the same thing and provide you with the tools to navigate through time with ease.

Pay attention! Spotler Engage has historical data on which you can report. This data is not visible in the environment by default. If you want to use historical data, you should contact Spotler Support.
