Tagging other accounts when publishing is possible for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. To do this, add an "@" symbol followed by the account name in your post, and an automatic menu will appear to select the account.
- For LinkedIn, it is possible to tag both companies and individuals.
- For Facebook, it is only possible to tag public pages; it is not possible to tag personal profiles or groups.
- For Twitter, it is possible to tag users, both individuals and companies.
- On Instagram, you can tag both individuals and companies.
On LinkedIn, you can tag both companies and individual people. Type @company-name or @first-last-name in your post and select the correct match from the suggestion menu that appears.
If the account doesn’t appear immediately, you can find the name in the LinkedIn page URL. For example: https://www.linkedin.com/company/glasses-cinderella/. Use the part after "company", like "glasses-cinderella", to find the correct result.
You can also start typing the name without hyphens or special characters. The matching profile will appear automatically. Press enter or select the name to confirm the tag.
For Facebook, it's only possible to tag public pages; tagging personal profiles or groups is not possible.
Tagging personal profiles or groups is not allowed as it would violate individual users' privacy. Hence, this feature is restricted to tagging public pages.
If you have tagged a page, you can click on the mention from Spotler Engage to check if you have tagged the correct page. See the 2 red arrows in the screenshot below:
It is possible to tag users, both individuals and companies, on Twitter. Use the user's Twitter handle (username) preceded by "@" in your tweet. For example: "@username". Find the official Twitter accounts of companies and individuals to obtain their usernames.
On Instagram, you can tag both individuals and companies. Use the user's Instagram handle (username) preceded by "@" in your post. For example: "@username".
