Public Facebook comments back in Media Monitor

We’ve improved the data coverage within Media Monitor by making public Facebook comments available again. Due to earlier changes in the Facebook API, these comments could not always be stored reliably, which sometimes resulted in incomplete monitoring results.

Improvements

  • Public Facebook comments back in Media Monitor: We’ve improved the data coverage within Media Monitor by restoring public Facebook comments. Previous changes in the Facebook API meant these comments were temporarily not always stored reliably, which could lead to incomplete monitoring results.

Bug fixes

  • Media Monitor: An issue has been resolved where users without permission to add labels could still see the “Add label” button in the interface. From now on, this button is only shown to users with the appropriate permissions.
  • Media Monitor: We fixed an issue where pie charts in exported PDF reports were sometimes displayed incorrectly or appeared visually broken. Charts are now rendered correctly, ensuring exported reports look consistent and professional.
  • General: Parts of the Engage frontend have been migrated to a newer version. This upgrade improves performance, reduces the risk of framework-related issues, and helps keep the application stable, maintainable, and future-proof.
  • General: We resolved an issue where statistics pages sometimes sent duplicate API requests. These requests are now only sent once, reducing unnecessary load and improving overall performance.
