It is possible to load and process Google reviews in Engage (including responding to these reviews). You link a Google My Business account via Settings > Accounts > Button: Link account. Then you choose Google My Business.
Link Google My Business account
Step 1: Go to settings > accounts and click on "Link account"
Step 2: In the account type list, choose "Google My Business", select the rights and click on "Link Google My Business" account at the bottom.
Step 3: A link is now made to Google to retrieve the accounts and give permission. Log in here with the Google account with which you are the administrator of the Google My Business account(s).
Step 4: After logging in and giving permission to use the data in OBI4wan, you will be returned to the settings in Engage. Here you can choose (if necessary) the accounts you wish to link and click on Save.
Please note: Google advises against having accounts with exactly the same name and this does not work well in Engage. This is because Google cannot distinguish between accounts with the same name. If you do choose to link multiple accounts with the same name, a unique number is added to the account name. This number is not easy to trace back to the actual associated page and can therefore cause confusion.
Loading Google reviews in Webcare
Once the accounts are linked, the reviews are loaded within 15 minutes. In Webcare, you can retrieve the messages with the following search query:
account:"XXX" AND source type:review AND site:maps.google.com
Of course, you replace XXX with the name of the linked account.
In Webcare, click on the reply button for a message to answer a review.
