Uniform tagging in Spotler Engage syncs tags from Webcare to Media Monitor, enabling consistent tagging across both. Activated on request, it synchronizes tags on public messages only, improving efficiency, reporting, collaboration, and trend analysis. Synchronization is one-way (Webcare to Media Monitor), manual tagging is required, and the feature excludes private messages, AI tagging, automatic suggestions, nested tags, and universal taxonomy. Activation is irreversible.
Yes, you can sync Webcare tags to Media monitor. Uniform tagging across Spotler Engage allows organisations to use one consistent tagging structure across Webcare and Media Monitor. When uniform tagging is enabled, tags applied to public messages in Webcare become available in Media Monitor labels for filtering, searching, reporting and analysis.
This article explains how uniform tagging works, how to request activation, what happens during synchronisation and which limitations apply.

What is uniform tagging?
Uniform tagging enables Webcare and Media Monitor to use the same tagging structure.
Before uniform tagging, users often had to create and maintain similar tags in multiple modules. This could lead to duplicate work, inconsistent reporting and fragmented analysis.
With uniform tagging:
- tags used in Webcare become available in Media Monitor
- teams can work with one consistent tagging structure
- reporting and analysis become more consistent
- duplicate tagging work is reduced
- Webcare teams and communication analysts use the same tagging data
Tags applied in Webcare can be reused in Media Monitor for filtering, searching, reporting and analysis.
How do I enable uniform tagging?
Uniform tagging is available on request. If you would like to use uniform tagging in your environment, contact Support to request activation.
Activation required
Uniform tagging is not enabled automatically. The functionality must be activated for your environment before tags can be synchronised between Webcare and Media Monitor. Ask support to activate this for your environment.
How does the synchronisation work?
After activation, tags applied to public messages in Webcare are synchronised to Media Monitor Labels.
When a tag is created in Webcare and does not yet exist in Media Monitor, the tag is automatically created during synchronisation.
Users can create tags through the tag management overview or directly from a Webcare message. Newly created tags become available in Media Monitor after synchronisation.
The synchronisation works in one direction:
| Source | Destination |
| Webcare | Media Monitor |
Changes made in Media Monitor do not update tags in Webcare.
What happens after activation?
After uniform tagging is activated, existing tagged public messages are synchronised to Media Monitor.
Existing tags from Webcare are also made available in Media Monitor, allowing teams to use the same tags across both modules. The duration of the synchronisation depends on the number of tags and messages in the environment.
Use label:namelabel in your query to show all messages with that label.
Important
After uniform tagging has been activated, the change cannot be reversed.
What are the benefits of uniform tagging?

Teams no longer need to recreate the same tags in multiple modules.
