In the Media Monitor dashboard, you can use Insights (beta) to ask follow up questions about the results you see. There is also a new widget, Photostream, that brings together the images from messages, the search bar has been improved and the Template Editor has been renewed.
You can now manage your own Webcare tag synchronisation with the Media Monitor via the general settings. Advocacy is always shown in the publishing menu and Apostle notifications indicate more clearly what is going wrong.
More settings pages have also been renewed, the text in the software is consistently informal and public Media Monitor reports, conversations and date filters work more reliably. In addition, articles in the Help Center have been updated with new information.
For most changes, you don't need to do anything. Insights via the Media Monitor dashboard is a beta feature: if you want to use it, the feature must be enabled for your account. Contact your account manager for more information.

Insights via the dashboard in Media Monitor
Insights is a beta feature in the Media Monitor that automatically summarises and analyses the messages from a Monitoring search query. The Insights section is marked as AI generated.
Who is this relevant for?
This feature is relevant for Engage users who use Media Monitor and have the Dashboard Insights beta feature enabled.
Why does this matter?
You gain more insight into your Monitoring results without leaving the software. You no longer need to export messages to external AI tools to ask questions about, for example, themes, sources or the role of a specific channel in a discussion.
Action
Optional action. If you already use the Dashboard Insights beta feature, the new functionality is immediately available to you. If you don't use Dashboard Insights yet, the beta feature must first be enabled for your account. Please contact your account manager.
Insights is a beta feature
Insights is only available if the beta feature is enabled for your account. The answers and analyses are generated with AI based on the messages in your results. Therefore, always verify important conclusions in the underlying messages. You can find more explanation about using this feature in the article: How do I use Insights in Media Monitor?
Manage Webcare tag synchronisation with Media Monitor yourself
What has changed?
In Engage, you manage the synchronisation of Webcare tags yourself via General settings. Previously, this synchronisation was a beta feature that OBI4wan had to enable for your account. Existing settings have been transferred to the new setting, so the synchronisation continues to work as you are used to.
Who is this relevant for?
This change is relevant for Engage administrators who use Webcare and want to synchronise tags with the Media Monitor.
Why does this matter?
You decide yourself whether and when Webcare tags are synchronised, without having to contact us.
Action
Optional action. If you want to change the synchronisation of Webcare tags, go to General settings. If you do nothing, your current setting will remain unchanged.
Clearer error messages for the Apostle integration
What has changed?
Engage shows a specific error message when the Apostle integration is not working due to a problem with user authentication. Previously, a general error message appeared in that situation. The integration shows the following messages:
| Error code | Message (Dutch) | Message (English) |
|---|---|---|
error107 |
We konden geen Apostle-gebruiker vinden die aan je e-mailadres is gekoppeld. Neem contact op met je beheerder om je toegang tot Advocacy te controleren. | We couldn’t find an Apostle user linked to your email address. Contact your administrator to check your Advocacy access. |
error108 |
We konden geen verbinding maken met Apostle. Neem contact op met je beheerder om de Advocacy-koppeling te controleren. | We couldn’t connect to Apostle. Contact your administrator to check the Advocacy connection. |
Who is this relevant for?
This change is relevant for Engage administrators and users who use the Apostle integration for Advocacy.
Why does this matter?
The message immediately shows whether the problem is a missing Apostle user linked to the email address, or the connection with Apostle. This helps administrators and users solve the problem faster. Want to know more about Apostle? For more information, see: How can I share my postings via Apostle?
Action
No action required.
Full release notes
New features
- Dashboard Insights: in the Dashboard Insights beta feature you can ask follow up questions about the visible result. The answer is based on the active search query, period, filters and language.
- Media Monitor: the new Photostream widget shows a collection of images from the messages in your results. This lets you quickly see which images are being shared around your topic. You add the Photostream widget to your dashboard in the same way as other widgets.
-
Media Monitor: You can now search up to seven search queries at once via the search bar. For each search query, you choose an AI prompt or a manual search query. From the search bar, you can select saved search queries, change the colour, save and rename them. Click the pencil icon to edit the search query and see all options.

Media Monitor: We have renewed the Template Editor in Media Monitor. The editor now runs on the latest version of the Email Editor, which ensures more stable and reliable performance. Designing your template is more pleasant: you can easily drag elements such as headings, buttons and social links into place, and your own blocks are easier to manage. For more information about editing your own template, see: Creating a template for your newsletter
Edit template Template Editor - Webcare: you now manage the synchronisation of Webcare tags with the Media Monitor yourself via General settings.
Improvements
- Apostle integration: when there is a problem with user authentication, a specific error message appears instead of a general error message.
- Publishing: Advocacy is always shown in the sidebar of the publishing menu. If Advocacy is not available for your account or your connection is not working properly, you will see an information page instead of the menu item being hidden.
- Settings: the Accounts, Reports, Reports Admin and Automatic Reports pages have been renewed and are in line with the other renewed settings pages. The existing functionality of these pages remains unchanged.
- Two factor authentication (2FA): the settings page for two factor authentication has a new design that is in line with the other renewed settings pages.
- Settings navigation: settings pages can be grouped in a nested navigation, so that related settings are grouped together more clearly and shown in a logical order.
- Dutch translations: the Dutch text in the software consistently uses the informal form. Formal words such as "u" and "uw" have been replaced by "je" and "jouw".
Resolved issues
- Reports: a date filter in the filter window of a chart could not be removed individually. You now remove a date filter in the same way as other filters, without clearing all filters at once.
- Media Monitor: known errors when loading public Media Monitor reports have been resolved. As a result, public reports load more reliably.
- Conversations: when opening a conversation with many messages, users and roles were requested multiple times simultaneously. The software now requests this data once and reuses the result, so conversations load more efficiently.
Stability and quality
- Test automation: automated tests have been added for the side filters in Media Monitor, and more manual quality checks have been replaced by automated end to end tests.
- Code quality: the software code has been further improved with an analysis of the SonarCloud results, standardised naming, a clearer structure of the date and time notation and by addressing existing points of attention in the code. These changes are not visible in the software, but make future updates more reliable.
Help Center
To keep the Help Center up to date, articles have been added or updated with new information. The following articles are new:
- How can I share my postings via Apostle?
- How do I use Insights in Media Monitor?
- How do I add a colour to a label?
- How do I use the search bar in the Media Monitor?
The following articles have been updated:
- How can I connect Trustpilot?
- How do I tag companies or people in my post?
- How can I exclude spam messages in a stream?
- How do I reconnect my account if the connection has expired?

In addition, the Apostle integration error messages are clearer, Advocacy is always shown in the publishing menu, more settings pages have been renewed, Help Center articles have been added or updated and public Media Monitor reports, conversations and date filters work more reliably.
An optional action is only needed if you want to use Dashboard Insights or the Photostream widget, or if you want to change the Webcare tag synchronisation.
