Via Settings > Queries you will find an overview of all created searches. Here you will find the following components:

You will also find icons to adjust and delete a search. It is also possible to set up narrowcasting or an alert on a search.

New Query

Step 1: Navigate to Queries via Settings. Click on "Create New Query" to create a new search query and add it to your Engage environment.

Step 2: Give your new query a descriptive name so that you can easily find it.

Step 3: In the 'Search query' field, you can start building your search query using Boolean operators. Explanation of all operators can be found next to the query field under the heading 'Explanation of search queries'. You can save the search query in an existing category or create a new category here. You can do this by clicking on the orange button 'All search queries'.

Search categories

It is possible to place searches in different categories. This can be useful to quickly find certain searches. For example, think of a subdivision by theme or region. In this article we explain how to create such a category.

In the list of all searches, all search categories are printed in bold so that you can see a clear distinction.

If you want to place a new or existing search under a search category, click on the orange button 'All searches' at the top right. A dropdown will appear with all search categories of the area, if these categories have already been added. By going to the empty field 'All searches' you can add a new search category. You save the search category by giving an enter.

Roles per query

To the right of the search category, there is a rights icon (figure) in orange. If you click on it, you will see a list of all present Roles. These are all marked in orange and therefore all have permission to this category of searches.

By clicking on the Role, it becomes white, which means that this Role no longer has access to this query. The Role(s) that you have unchecked will no longer see these queries in the list of queries within Webcare or in a Report.

Create and compare a querie from Quick Search

From the quick search screen, save a query by clicking on the left icon (the floppy disk icon), next to the query field.
