What are the common queries for Webcare?

In this article you can read which searches you can use in Webcare. After reading this article you will know what each search entails.

As an example we use the Spotler Engage account. Where it says 'engage' in the explanation, you must use your own account name when creating a search.

Facebook

All messages posted on a Facebook page (comments and messages to the page, private messages but also own reactions and posts):

  • account:engage AND source type:facebook

All messages posted on Facebook in which you are mentioned (posts on your own Facebook page but also messages on other Facebook pages):

  • engage AND source type:facebook

All posts posted to Facebook, but excluding posts posted from the account (this will filter out your own posts and comments):

  • (engage AND source type:facebook) NOT user:engage

In addition, it is also possible to search not all messages on Facebook in which the account is mentioned, but only a certain type of message such as private messages or comments on the page:

Facebook private messages:

  • account:engage AND posttype:conversation

Facebook comments:

  • account:engage AND source type:facebook AND posttype:comment

Facebook messages that are placed on the page (so no comments but directly on the page):

  • account:engage AND posttype:status

Facebook posts containing a URL/link:

  • account:engage AND post type:link

Facebook posts with a photo:

  • account:engage AND post type:photo

Facebook posts with a video:

  • account:engage AND posttype:conversation

Filtering out your own messages, without your own private messages/reactions (in all cases, you put the first share in parentheses and then filter out your own account with 'user'):

  • (account:engage AND posttype:comment) NOT user:engage

Instagram*

Messages posted from an Instagram account, reactions to these messages and also if you are mentioned (hashtags, own reactions and posts):

  • (account:engage OR engage) AND source type:instagram

Same search as above, but filtered out your own comments:

  • ((account:engage OR obi4wan) AND source type:instagram) NOT user:engage

Filtering out your own messages, without your own private messages/reactions (in all cases, you put the first share in parentheses and then filter out your own account with 'user':

  • (account:engage AND source type:instagram) NOT user:engage

Posts with a specific hashtag:

After you've added hashtags to your sources (read here how to do that), you can also process them in your search query and search for them. For example, if you've added the hashtag 'engage', you can then include it in your Instagram search:

  • (engage AND source type:instagram)

Comments Instagram:

  • account:accountnaam AND bronsoort:instagram AND posttype:comment NOT user:accountnaam

Direct Messages Instagram:

  • account:engage AND bronsoort:instagram AND posttype:conversation

Instagram Story Mentions:

  • context:"Story mention"

*Please note! We do not support comments on Instagram ads, only comments for Facebook ads.

X (Twitter)

Pay attention! If you use the operator 'account' in a search, the account name is case sensitive.

Search all X-messages in which you are mentioned (if this is also your X-account name, your own X- messages, mentions and private messages to this account will also be shown):

  • Engage AND source type:twitter

Search on Twitter mentions:

  • @engage AND source type:twitter

Search on X-private messages (direct messages):

  • Engage AND post type:RETWEET

In addition, it is also possible to search not on all Twitter messages, but only on the type of message, such as retweets:

Search X-retweets:

  • engage AND post type:REPLY

Search on all first sent X-messages (without being retweets or comments):

  • engage AND post type:STATUS

Search on all messages that you place on X (sent from your own account):

  • user:engage AND source type:twitter

Search your X-timeline (this is only possible if the X-account is linked to Engage):

  • timeline:engage

In all of the above cases it is also possible to filter out your own reactions and own messages. You do this by placing "NOT user:engage" after a search query.

Filtering out your own comments:

  • (@engage AND source type:twitter) NOT user:engage

Conversations Twitter

  • "direct message engage" NOT user:engage

LinkedIn

Pay attention! Searching on a LinkedIn account is case sensitive.

All messages posted to LinkedIn from the account and the responses to these messages:

  • account:Engage AND source type:linkedin

All messages posted on LinkedIn in which you are mentioned (messages on your own LinkedIn account but also messages on other LinkedIn accounts that are linked to OBI4wan. Note! This does not include the responses to your own messages):

  • Engage AND source type:linkedin

Only the LinkedIn company updates (which are posted from a LinkedIn page):

  • Engage AND post type:"Company update"

Only the LinkedIn comments (reactions to messages):

  • Engage AND posttype:comment AND sourcetype:linkedin
